STEVEN TYLER Accidentally Clocks JOE PERRY In The Head With Mic Stand; Video Available

August 19, 2010

Video footage of AEROSMITH frontman Steven Tyler accidentally hitting guitarist Joe Perry with his mic stand at the end of the band's performance of the song "Sweet Emotion" on August 12, 2010 at Nikon at Jones Beach Theater in Wantagh, New York can be viewed below.

As previously reported, there's controversy surrounding what appears to be footage of Perry bumping Tyler offstage on Tuesday night (August 17) at Toronto's Air Canada Centre. TMZ.com posted the fan footage shot during "Love In The Elevator" when Tyler and Perry were performing on an extended stage ramp. After Tyler playfully bumps a soloing Perry, Perry — who was not facing Tyler — bumps him back, sending Tyler head-first into the crowd. Perry eventually helps Tyler back on stage and Tyler gives him a playful twirl.

Tyler will apparently be among the judges for season 10 of Fox's "American Idol". Despite no official announcement from either Fox or Tyler's management, AEROSMITH bassist Tom Hamilton confirmed the long-rumored deal, telling the New Jersey Star-Ledger, "Steven is doing 'American Idol'. The ink is dry on that. So, we'll have to work around his schedule for a new record."
